1. はじめに
ペンディ（以下「本アプリ」）は、利用者の学習体験を向上させるために各種データを取り扱います。本ポリシーは、収集する情報の種類、利用目的、保護措置について定めるものです。
2. 取得する情報
- アカウント情報：Apple／Google サインイン時に取得するメールアドレス・表示名・認証トークン。匿名利用時は識別子のみ。
- コンテンツ情報：アップロード／録音された音声・ドキュメント・リンクおよび生成されたノート、要約、クイズなどの成果物。
- 技術情報：端末モデル、OS・アプリバージョン、IP アドレス、利用統計。
- 購読情報：サブスクリプションの購入状況、更新期限、取引 ID などストアが提供するメタデータ。
3. 利用目的
- AI 要約やクイズ生成など、本アプリの主要機能を提供するため。
- アカウント管理、本人確認、不正利用防止のため。
- サブスクリプションの課金・更新・領収管理のため。
- サービス改善、品質向上、障害対応のための分析。
- 法令違反への対応、安全性の確保。
4. 利用する外部サービス
本アプリは、機能提供のために以下の外部サービスを利用します。Google LLC の Firebase（Authentication／Firestore／Cloud Functions／Cloud Messaging／App Check／Remote Config／Analytics・Performance）および Gemini（要約・クイズ・フラッシュカード等の AI 生成）、OpenAI, L.L.C.（ノート内検索と AI 質問に使う埋め込みベクトルの生成）、Cloudflare, Inc.（録音音声や取り込みファイルを保存する Cloudflare R2）、Apple Inc.（音声認識および App Store の決済基盤）、ならびに YouTube 動画の字幕取得に用いる RapidAPI。音声の文字起こしは原則として端末内で処理し、端末内で処理できない場合に限り Apple の音声認識サービスへ送信されます。これらのサービス提供者は米国を含む日本国外に所在するため、取得した情報は日本国外へ移転されます。
5. 情報の共有
- 前項の外部サービスに対しては、サービス提供に必要な最小限の情報のみを共有します。
- 法令・裁判所命令などにより開示が義務付けられた場合は、必要な範囲で開示します。
- 利用者の同意なく第三者に販売・貸与することはありません。
6. 保存期間
- アカウント情報：アカウントが存続する間は保管し、退会（アカウントの削除）の手続きが行われた場合は速やかに削除します。長期間ご利用がないアカウントについては、削除させていただく場合があります。
- アップロードコンテンツ：利用者が削除した場合は即時に無効化し、バックアップから最大 30 日で完全削除します。
- 購読情報：法律・会計上必要な期間を超えて保管しません。
7. 利用者の権利
- 設定画面またはメールにより、登録情報の閲覧・訂正・削除を求めることができます。
- データの取り出しや消去の要求は、本人確認のうえ法令に従って対応します。
8. セキュリティ対策
- 通信・保管時の暗号化 (HTTPS、Firebase Security Rules)。
- アクセス権管理とログ監視による不正アクセス対策。
- 開発運用メンバーへのポリシー教育と権限の最小化。
9. ポリシーの改定
重要な変更を行う場合は、アプリ内通知またはメールで告知し、告知日以降に効力を発生させます。

アカウント削除と保存データ
設定の「アカウントを削除」から、アプリ内で削除を完了できます。認証情報、非公開ノート、プロフィール、利用履歴、クラウド上のファイルを削除し、公開ノートも削除します。他の利用者が既に保存したコピーは学習内容を保持しつつ、元の作成者情報を「削除済みユーザー」に匿名化します。アカウント削除だけでは App Store の自動更新は停止しないため、必要に応じて購読管理画面から解約してください。法令上保存が必要な決済記録は、定められた期間に限り識別情報を最小化して保持する場合があります。
公開コンテンツの安全管理
公開ノートや公開プロフィールでは、違法、有害、差別的、性的、暴力的、嫌がらせ、スパム、権利侵害に当たる内容を禁止します。各公開ノートの安全メニューからノートまたは利用者を通報・ブロックできます。ブロックした利用者の投稿はフィードから非表示になります。通報は原則24時間以内に確認し、必要に応じて削除、公開停止、アカウント制限などを行います。
カスタムコミュニティの安全
公開・招待制を問わず、カスタムコミュニティの名称と説明はユーザー生成コンテンツとして同じ安全規約の対象です。招待制コミュニティの内容はメンバーだけが閲覧できますが、安全規約の対象外にはなりません。非オーナーメンバーはコミュニティまたは作成者を通報・ブロックできます。通報は原則24時間以内に確認します。

1. Introduction
Pendy (hereinafter referred to as "this app") handles various data to enhance users' learning experience. This policy defines the types of information collected, purposes of use, and protection measures.
2. Information Collected
- Account Information: Email address, display name, and authentication tokens obtained during Apple/Google sign-in. For anonymous use, only identifiers are collected.
- Content Information: Uploaded/recorded audio, documents, links, and generated artifacts such as notes, summaries, and quizzes.
- Technical Information: Device model, OS/app version, IP address, and usage statistics.
- Subscription Information: Purchase status, renewal deadlines, transaction IDs, and other metadata provided by stores.
3. Purposes of Use
- To provide main features of this app, such as AI summaries and quiz generation.
- For account management, identity verification, and prevention of unauthorized use.
- For subscription billing, renewal, and receipt management.
- For analysis to improve services, enhance quality, and respond to issues.
- To respond to legal violations and ensure safety.
4. External Services Used
To provide its features, this app uses the following third-party services: Google LLC — Firebase (Authentication / Firestore / Cloud Functions / Cloud Messaging / App Check / Remote Config / Analytics and Performance) and Gemini (AI generation of summaries, quizzes, and flashcards); OpenAI, L.L.C. (generating the embedding vectors used for in-note search and AI questions); Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare R2, which stores recorded audio and imported files); Apple Inc. (speech recognition and the App Store payment platform); and RapidAPI (retrieving captions for YouTube videos). Speech is transcribed on your device whenever possible and is sent to Apple's speech recognition service only when your device cannot process it. These providers are located outside Japan, including in the United States, so the information they receive is transferred outside Japan.
5. Information Sharing
- We share only the minimum information necessary for service provision with the external services mentioned above.
- We will disclose information within the necessary scope when required by laws or court orders.
- We do not sell or lend information to third parties without user consent.
6. Retention Period
- Account Information: Retained while the account exists, and deleted promptly once the user completes account deletion. Accounts that have not been used for an extended period may also be deleted.
- Uploaded Content: Invalidated immediately when deleted by users, and completely deleted from backups within a maximum of 30 days.
- Subscription Information: Not retained beyond the period required by law or accounting standards.
7. User Rights
- Users can request to view, correct, or delete registered information through the settings screen or email.
- Requests for data extraction or deletion will be handled in accordance with applicable laws after identity verification.
8. Security Measures
- Encryption during transmission and storage (HTTPS, Firebase Security Rules).
- Unauthorized access prevention through access control and log monitoring.
- Policy education for development and operations members and minimization of privileges.
9. Policy Revisions
When making significant changes, we will notify users through in-app notifications or email, and the changes will take effect after the notification date.

Account deletion and retained data
You can complete account deletion in the app from Settings > Delete Account. We delete authentication data, private notes, profile data, usage history, cloud files, and your public notes. Copies already saved by another user keep their learning content while the original author is anonymized as “Deleted User.” Deleting the account does not cancel App Store auto-renewal; use subscription management if needed. Transaction records required by law may be retained for the required period with identifying data minimized.
Public-content safety
Illegal, harmful, hateful, sexual, violent, harassing, spam, or rights-infringing material is prohibited in public notes and profiles. Use the safety menu on a public note to report the note or user, or block the user. Blocked users’ posts are hidden from your feed. We aim to review reports within 24 hours and may remove content, restrict visibility, or limit accounts when needed.
Custom community safety
Names and descriptions of custom communities are user-generated content and follow the same safety rules whether the community is public or invite-only. Invite-only content is visible only to members, but it is not exempt from these rules. Non-owner members can report the community or creator and block the creator. We aim to review reports within 24 hours.
